That is completely awesome! I like that you took the time to position the bird. I bet the inner lining being red comes as a surprise to your mother, because bags usually have some drecky lining that makes it hard to find things while still being completely ugly... so this is doubly cool.
I think you did a great job making that bias tape yourself too.
And if you can enpicture the pin cup, that's something I know I'd like to make for myself.
